The Experience Of Your Lawyer Matters

Partners Peter Buh and Ken Johnson each have more than 20 years of experience in criminal law. Our entire legal team is committed to preparing and presenting a solid case in court. As litigators, all of our attorneys have substantial experience achieving results in the courtroom.

Attorney Ken Johnson has focused on criminal defense for 24 years, including serving as a public defender carrying a high case load in DuPage County. In 2000, he was appointed as chief public defender in DeKalb County. In 2007 he entered private practice to continue to vigorously defend the rights of individuals accused of crimes in Illinois. Prior to entering the practice of law he gained valuable insight into criminal law while serving as a criminal investigator in Cook County.

Attorney Peter Buh has experience as both a prosecutor and criminal defense attorney. He served as an assistant state's attorney and earned the role of chief of felony. He trained law enforcement on constitutional principles. He earned the distinction of DUI prosecutor of the year. He knows how law enforcement and prosecutors put their cases together. As an aggressive criminal defense lawyer, he knows how to view the detail from every angle to find the flaws and weaknesses to present a compelling defense.

Attorneys Walker Filbert and Stacey Wittman share the same vision that your interests must come first. Mr. Filbert brings 23 years of effective trial court experience to the table. Ms. Wittman has fought to safeguard the interests and rights of clients for more than 6 years.
